Wallpaper can totally transform your home. Fashion trends change continuously and at present I am pleased to say that wallpaper is playing a huge part in interior decor. Wallpaper brings colour into rooms, together with interest and creates a focal point to any room setting.
You can express your personality with wallpaper. Leopard print wallpaper I think is amazing, however, my husband would disagree. Stripes are very classy and wow they definitely make a statement. Pastels are relaxing whilst bold colours turn heads.
Experimenting with different wallpapers can be fun. If you are in love with a snazzy wallpaper but are unsure of how it will look and you don’t feel brave enough to use it on a large wall. The best place to experiment with your wallpaper would be the downstairs clock room. For some reason this room is always the smallest but can get away with the most colourful and boldest prints.
Colours change from season to season but grey is one of the hottest colours at present and is here to stay for a little while longer. Off whites are also a big hit this year and by painting your main wall a bolder shade of grey and the other walls a lighter shade, combining the two colours and using another colour for accessories like turquoise, pink or green will create an explosion of elegance and sophistication.
Other colours that are leading the way into Sumer 2014 are golds and silvers. Both these colours bring opulence, richness and glamour. These colours have led the way forward and through these colours metallic surfaces have erupted. Metallic wallpapers are visually loud and textured. Designs such as hexagons, circles and squares have been used on metallic wallpapers which give them that 70’s feel.
2015 is about being daring, not boring. If your eyes are drawn to a wallpapered wall as you enter the room and not the new chandelier or beautiful sofa you have just purchased, your task is complete.
